As we begin this new adventure of building custom rifles we want to assure our customers that we have put every effort into making your rifle not only something to be proud of but to also be admired by your hunting companions. We are both avid sportsmen and love to be in the field more than we like to be anywhere else. But if we have to have jobs than we want nothing more than to build our customers a rifle that would make their experience as enjoyable as we possibly can. We realize that you have aspirations of big game hunting all over the world, as do we, so we want your rifle to be built like it were going to be one of our own. Our gunsmiths also take this to heart because in their minds each rifle is an indication of his own merit. Rest assured that everyone in our facility will take pride in building your rifle and we look forward to hearing from you and seeing pictures of your hunting successes.

Classic Series

Traditional Rifles have always been the cornerstone of the hunting industry. Beautiful wood stocks and blued steel make a combination that is in essence "Classic". And when it comes to American hunting rifles nothing can compete with a controlled round feed three position safety action for flawless performance. Combine the M1999 Montana action and a custom match grade barrel with AA and AAA Walnut stocks, provides for a rifle of unequalled beauty and precision. Although we built the classic series to be the top tier of beautiful rifles, we also had one major benefit in mind...accuracy. With its accuracy certification our rifles have no equal in the firearms industry. Montana Rifle Company started as a custom gunsmithing service and those values of building the perfect rifle still hold true.

Dangerous Game Rifles

When it comes to building dangerous game rifles no one can argue that the most respected type of action used is the Controlled Round Feed (CRF) action. Along with the CRF the Wilderness Supreme and the Safari Supreme are beautifully set in an Accurate Innovations Walnut stocks with a full length aluminum bedding blocks. The stocks come standard with an ebony grip cap along with a classic high comb cheek piece. These stocks also include matching Howell type inletted swivel studs. The Wilderness model will have a matte blued finish to control any light reflection and the Safari Supreme will have a elegant polished finish along with New England Custom Gun Company 2 leaf express sights, barrel band swivel stud and hooded front sights.

High Country Series

When we first thought about building custom rifles we wanted a line of rifles that addressed a few basic needs. First, with the kind of hunting we like to do, they had to be light. And most important was that light rifles had to be accurate. By nature light rifles are inaccurate because most light contours suffer from "barrel whip". However with the barrel shank design coupled with the M1999 breaching system there is a much stronger base for which to control barrel whip. Another problem we faced was with the extreme hunting we like to do, we run into many harsh conditions. Conditions like rain, sleet, snow and temperature ranges from 110 degrees to well below zero. These are often prime conditions for some of the the best hunting and we wanted our gear to be able to handle those elements. With this we use ALL stainless steel barrels and the complete action is made up of entirely stainless steel parts. We then couple that with some of the best synthetic stocks in the industry, Lone Wolf and Pendleton Composite's. On top of that for the Ridgeline, Timberline and Alpine we also went to Falcon Gun Finishing to have the barreled action set in a teflon coating for maximum protection. This coating is extremely rugged and durable and will protect the steel from just about any type of weather.

All high country series rifles will be pillar and glass bedded, with all stainless steel barreled actions. For the Ridgeline, Timberline and Alpine SA cartridges weights are 6lbs 2oz. and LA cartridges will be 6lbs 7oz. and will have a blind magazine box.

Tactical Series

When it comes to tactical and long distance shooting, one thing is for certain; you MUST have the most accurate dependable rifle you can. Whether it is varmint hunting, long distance shooting, or hunting big game at long distances, barrel tolerances must be kept to an absolute minimum. As with all our rifles the heart of the Tactical Series is the M1999 Montana Action, a solid strong and sturdy receiver that is matched by no other for features and benefits. Couple that with a match grade barrel with tolerances less than .0003 throughout the entire barrel and top it off with a Lone Wolfe tactical stock and you have one of the finest and most accurate rifles in any price range. They come with an ambidextrous palm swell, new high comb cheek piece which allows the use of a cleaning rod without stock disassembly, and dual front swivel studs to allow a bipod and sling without overlapping them. All Tactical Series rifles include a Timney adjustable trigger. The Sniper/Scout and the NATO are also enhanced with tactical bold knob.
